Anthony and I arrived in Florence (Firenze to the Italians) early enough to get into the highly-rated Archi Rossi hostel. We met an American named Jenn and took her a-touristing.

The Duomo (cathedral) and the Campanile (the tower). Unlike other cathedrals, the exterior is made of a lively mix of pink, green and white marble.  Google Map

"Don't make me touch the statue's ass!"

Palazzo Vecchio

The Duomo again

Managed to sneak a pic of Michelangelo's David, even though I risked a beating by a security guard who ran around yelling "No photo!" to everyone who tried to get a pic.

"We're down here!"

Having some fun with the local statues.

This is the outdoor lounge of the Archi Rossi. Not bad for a hostel, eh?

The Ostello Archi Rossi presents the vocal stylings of Kenny and the legendary guitar work of Anthony.

"Playing guitar is a great way to pick up chicks."

Don't ask.

Anthony looks around desperately for someone else to hang out with.

More touring around Florence on the next page...
