Anthony, Jenn, Mark (yet another Vancouverite) and yours truly on the Ponte Vecchio - the oldest bridge in Florence (built in 1345).  Google Map

Looking down the Fiume Arno.

At the Boboli Gardens taking a break from our search for "Fat Man on Turtle."  Google Map

Me against a attractive rural backdrop.

A nice view of Florence's main draws.

We found this little park tucked away from the public eye and sat under this tree that had huge blossoms that smelled like lemon. A local cat hung out with us for a while.

Found "Fat Man on Turtle."

We climbed the Duomo to get this great view of the city. We counted 5 more steps than the advertised 463.

Jenn, Anthony and Mark surveying the city.

We frequented a gelateria called The Bermuda Triangle. It's owned by a hilarious and highly caffeinated Italian that could be Roberto Benigni's twin brother. He kept telling the guys: "Don't do the dick."

Mark hitting on the girls. Did I mention that Mark has an almost unhealthy fixation on gelato? He had a list of gelaterias he had to visit while in Florence.

Can you tell that Anthony has a fondness for Jenn?

Mark and ze Germans. We had a deep conversation about life in post-Cold War Germany.

"No photo!!!"

Anthony, Jenn and I moved on to the beautiful city of Rome...
