After clubbing until 5:30am (wish I'd brought my camera), we had to get up at 6:30am to catch the first ferry across to the train station.

These local guys were still drinking from the night before.

It didn't take us long to make use of the bar car on the 5-hour ride to Lagos.

Standing on the edge of the world as it was known back in the day (actually the most southwestern point in Europe) in Sagres.

Alessandro and I on the edge of the world.

Found a nice beach on the way back from Sagres.

Alessandro and I on our trusty rental steed.

A short downpour created a nice river down the street.

Ran into the gang from Lisbon and made a huge pot of pasta together.

Holding onto the two-for-one drinks you can get at The Old Tavern.

Some of the semi-local working folk.

Canadian girls are everywhere!

Us Canadians have to stick together.

Our Austrian flatmates

After several days of partying in Lagos, I felt like I had to get moving on my European tour. I forced myself to leave after four days of fun. My next stop was a town called Tavira. It was a beautiful town, but it was BORING to be there by myself.

Some cute kids waiting for a train.

A nice square in Tavira...yawn.

I left early the next day to go to Sevilla. My train map showed a gap between the last train station in Portugal and the first one in Spain. I had to find a way to bridge that gap. My guidebook was no help so I decided to wing it and see what would happen. I ended up taking a ferry across a river between Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Portugal and Ayamonte, Spain (a nice town, by the way). I then caught a bus to Huelva to catch a train to Sevilla.
